About me

What do you want to be when you grow up? I always thought I had the answer to that question. I wanted to be a professor. I loved reading. I could write well. It seemed like a no-brainer. 

But when I realized that becoming a professor meant living wherever the jobs were and chasing tenure for years, I knew that I needed to come up with Plan B. And fast. 

So I decided to pursue a career in what I've always done best. Writing. And more than 20 years later, I've never looked back. 

I've been a copywriter and editorial director in an agency setting and as a consultant. I've written everything from annual reports to video scripts for government, nonprofit, and private sector companies, including Fortune 50 giants.

As a generalist, I write about a wide range of business and technology topics and have extensive experience working with global professional services firms. Always a student, I love to dig into a topic, listening and learning to craft copy that fuels business outcomes. 

I graduated with honors from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in English. I hold a Master of Arts in English from the University of Virginia. I'm based in beautiful Raleigh, North Carolina.
